General meetings are held virtually most months. As COVID rates are still somewhat high in the Philadelphia region, when meeting for in-person indoor activities, we encourage masks during the activity and testing beforehand. EQAT expects that those who are eligible will be vaccinated and boosted against COVID in order to participate in in-person activities.

Why take direct action? In the work for climate stewardship and other campaigns for dignity, connection, and human rights, non-violent direct action has played an important historical role, and is called for again today. In this workshop, we will explore how to identify key decision-makers and understand the crucial role of rebels within a movement ecosystem. We’ll dismantle the conventional understanding of power and discover how to leverage consent and influence for change.
This is session #1 in our collaborative skills training with Quaker Earthcare Witness.

In this week’s workshop, we’ll hear stories of 15+ years of action with Earth Quaker Action Team and map out the essential roles needed to manage the dynamic needs of on-the-ground action. Through interactive small group exercises, you’ll gain practical experience in coordinating and supporting your team, ensuring a united and powerful impact.
