It’s going to be big — Will you be there?
Are you planning to attend the Friends General Conference Gathering in early July? Or do you want to come to southeastern Pennsylvania during that time? If so, we have an exciting invitation for you!
On Wednesday, July 3rd, during FGC Gathering, we’re joining up with allies and partners for a major action at Vanguard’s headquarters. We hope you can join us!
When we speak to people around the country and ask them to name the biggest polluters in their area, Vanguard is so often the top investor in those corporations. We know that, near and far, Vanguard is investing in environmental injustice, and people are showing up to push back. So, on July 3rd, we’ll come together to call out the impacts of Vanguard’s investments in fossil fuel expansion projects, and we’ll renew our commitment to take action until Vanguard changes course.
For those of you who will be attending FGC Gathering, transportation will be provided to the action at Vanguard. And when you register for Gathering, consider signing up for Eileen Flanagan’s participatory workshop, The Practice of Nonviolent Direct Action, especially if you’re interested in helping the Vanguard S.O.S. campaign expand to your region.
Even if you’re not attending Gathering, we’d love for you to make a trip out of it and join us in action on July 3rd. It’s going to be a big one – all are welcome!
